Start with the room.
For a bedroom, desk, or reading corner, a compact ultrasonic diffuser is usually a comfortable fit. For a living room or longer sessions, choose a larger water tank. If you want stronger fragrance without refilling water, consider a cold-air or waterless diffuser.
Choose the right oil.
Ultrasonic diffusers use water with essential oils or water-compatible diffuser oils. Waterless diffusers require oils made for cold-air diffusion. Do not add body oil, carrier oil, reed-diffuser refill, or thick resin to an ultrasonic water tank.
Care for an ultrasonic diffuser.
- Use clean, room-temperature water and stay below the maximum fill line.
- Start with the amount of oil recommended on the bottle.
- Empty unused water after each session.
- Wipe the tank with a soft, non-abrasive cloth.
- Keep water away from the air outlet and electrical base.
Care for a waterless diffuser.
- Use only oil formulated for the device and bottle connection.
- Begin on a low setting and increase gradually.
- Clean the fragrance pathway before changing to a very different fragrance or when output declines.
- Keep the unit upright on a stable surface.
Place it safely.
Set your diffuser on a stable, moisture-resistant surface with open space around the outlet. Keep it away from direct sunlight, electronics, polished surfaces, fabric, children, and pets. Stop using a diffuser that leaks, overheats, makes an unusual noise, or shows visible damage. Always follow the guide included with your product.
